Since Project Gambia began in 2012, our mission has been to help lift young people out of poverty in The Gambia, one of Africa's poorest countries where few charities exist.

In a developing country such as The Gambia, the most effective way of doing this is to facilitate a School Feeding Programme, as it attracts children towards attending school while promoting an effective education while they are at school. Therefore, our core mission is to provide every child that we support with a hot and nutritious meal each day that they attend school, fighting against hunger and promoting their education.

Initially, we began by supporting St. John's School for the Deaf and its 200 pupils. Now, we support more than 1,000 children between St. John's School for the Deaf, St. Patrick's Lower Basic School and St. Joseph's Nursery School. As the number of pupils that we support has expanded, so too has the number of ways in which we support them. We now support The Gambia in a variety of different ways - to find out more about these, just click on the links above!
